San Jose’s city council unanimously appointed RLEO Chris Constantin, 32, as the city’s new law enforcement watchdog. As the senior police auditor, Chris will oversee the citizen complaint process, and coordinate between the citizens of San Jose and the city’s Police Department. The position includes a $169,000 salary, and management of six personnel assigned to the auditor’s office. He was specifically chosen because of his current RLEO position, law enforcement experience gained as an RLEO, combined with his previous successful experience and outstanding reputation as a San Jose city auditor. The previous police auditor lacked a law enforcement background.
