Sheriff John Whetsel has created a Special Operations Medical Team consisting of the agency's active state certified health care professionals and medics, all of whom are also certified as Reserve Deputy Sheriffs.  The team's current members include:  Deputy Drew Eldridge, MD serving as the Team's Medical Director, and Deputy Eli Jarjoura, DDS, serving as the Team's Operations Coordinator.  Team members include:  Deputy Mike Gourley, Medic; Deputy James Bugg, DC (who holds a special certification for K9); Deputy Dale Autry, Medic; Deputy Terri Clark, Medic; and Deputy David Davis, Medic

The Medical Team with cover medical requirements for all special teams including: tactical, dive, bomb, DPU, K9, natural disasters, defensive tactics, etc.  In addition, members of this team and provide Agency personnel with CPR training.
