The Council for Law Enforcement Reserves has a busy quarter to report. We've had a lot of activity, and for that we thank our Members, and our readers and visitors.
Regarding our national survey, we have now identified more than 60,487 RLEOs in 36 states. The survey continues.
To promote an informed RLEO constituency, we feature more than 325 Law Enforcement Reserve Programs linked through our LINKS area. The number grows weekly. Through these virtual visits, you can see what reserve programs are doing across the nation, and they're doing a lot.For concepts on how to implement, organize, grow, or improve your reserve program, link visits are a great first step. We also feature distinguished reserve programs in our AGENCY SPOTLIGHT section under NEWS.
In our MEMBERS area, we have upgraded the social networking site to also show each Member's agency and state. We want you to use the site to make contacts, share ideas and knowledge, and network. If you haven't completed a survey, please do. We cull "members" who can't prove themselves to be RLEOs, LEOs, or LEA personnel. Our starting point to determine this begins with your completed surveys.
In our survey, we've added categories for trooper, ranger, and special agent. We have an interesting group of RLEOs, spanning law enforcement career fields.
For the Council's reservecop.com site, hits and sites are up 300% over the quarter. Our busiest time of the day is in the morning from 9-12 a.m.; and again, in the evening from 8-10 p.m. That said, afternoons are busy too! Our news area is most frequently visited. Most visits come through our home page. As you can imagine, the search engine that most frequently directs to our site is Google, followed by Yahoo.
We continue to look for news stories about law enforcement reserve programs, and their officers. So, drop us a line. And, thanks for being involved. We appreciate you!
