I want to thank everyone who has joined the Council, and who has recruited others to join. We're growing steadily as we continue to build our national platform of current, comprehensive information about Law Enforcement Reserve Programs (LERPs).
On our site, we now average at least one hundred visits daily, which for a professional site I find impressive. We continue to dig and discover more interesting facts about Reserve Country. Our 2011 survey found more than 80,000 active reserve officers nation-wide.
Reserve programs remain the most cost effective way to expand an agency's operational capabilities. The military figured this out long ago.
Please keep sending us articles and information that we can publish: especially ones that are about RLEOs and reserve programs.
Our intent is that you find our site informative, and that agency executives can mine our date to develop support for implementing new, or expanding existing, LERPs.
It's been a great year so far. Thank you again for participating as a Member of the Council for Law Enforcement Reserves. Please continue to invite your fellow RLEOs to join. Your comments are always welcome!
